| BIOGRAPHY |
Miguel A. Núñez, Jr. has performed many challenging
roles in a variety of feature films, including the lead
role in Juwanna Mann and hilarious turns in The Adventures
of Pluto Nash and the hit film Scooby-Doo. He will take
on a more serious role in the dramatic retelling of the
Tarzan legend as Sam, a brazen detective in Tarzan.
Núñez received rave reviews for his portrayal
of Biscuit in the hit film Life, opposite Eddie Murphy and
Martin Lawrence. He was also singled out for his incredible
portrayal of young Little Richard in Why Do Fools Fall In
Love, starring Halle Berry and Vivica A. Fox. Núñez's
other film credits include Nutty Professor II: The Klumps,
For Richer or Poorer, A Thin Line Between Love and Hate
and Street Fighter, with Jean-Claude Van Damme. On television,
he starred in the television series Tour of Duty and Sparks.
He has made numerous guest appearances on such series as
Martin, Boomtown, Bernie Mac, The Hughleys and Andy Richter
Controls the Universe. Núñez was born one
of eight children in New York and grew up on a farm in North
Carolina. In addition to his acting, he is very active in
the Los Angeles community. Once homeless himself, he now
helps the homeless at the Union Rescue Mission through his
"Sparks of Hope" program. Núñez
currently resides in Los Angeles but will make Toronto his
home during the filming of the series.
