Tarzan's Fimmel Faddle
Me Tarzan, you conned. Underwear model Travis Fimmel, who
plays the lord of the jungle in the new WB series, has admitted
stuffing his tightly whities for the head-turning Calvin
Klein campaign that made him a star. "At one point
the cameraman was looking for his camera and I pulled it
out of his pants," he jokes in the July 12 TV Guide.
These days, Fimmel is more modest about his assets-- at
the photo shoot for the TV Guide story, he refused to take
his shirt off. "He said he wanted to be taken seriously
as an actor," says a source on the shoot. "The
magazine had to buy a shirtless picture from a photo agency
to use on the cover." Fimmes's rep said he wouldn't
disrobe for the pictures because he wasn't in character
as Tarzan.

More about "Tarzan"
During a meeting on Thursday at which WB executives discussed
their fall programs, he announced that "Tarzan and
Jane" would henceforth be called merely `Tarzan."
He said he and the producers, including Laura Ziskin, for
whom he worked as an intern, decided to redirect the central
element of the show away from Tarzan's relationship with
a female New York City detective (Jane).
